About

Anahit is from the community of Zovaber. She is a mother of two and a trained pharmacist. While on maternity leave, she spent time with women in her community and kept hearing the same concern again and again — the lack of jobs.

For many women, finding work in nearby towns is almost impossible. It requires extra time, travel costs, and financial resources that many families simply do not have. But if there were jobs in the village itself, women could earn their own income, support their families, and live with greater stability and dignity.

The lack of work is not only an economic issue. It often deprives families of important opportunities. Mothers cannot afford to send their children to paid extracurricular programs, and sometimes even gifted children face the risk of losing access to higher education.

It was from this concern that the idea of opening a sewing workshop was born. This initiative could create new jobs for women in the community, strengthen the economic life of Zovaber, reduce the risk of emigration, and create the conditions for young people to stay, work, and help develop their native village.

At the moment, there is only one sewing machine. To fully bring this project to life, new equipment is urgently needed.

This is not simply an initiative to open a workshop. It is a chance for the women of the community to work, create, earn their own income, and build a more secure future for their families.

With your support, new jobs and new opportunities can be created in Zovaber.
Together, we can bring this important initiative to life. Donate today.
