About
Radik studies in the village of Araks in the Armavir region, where the position of physics teacher had remained vacant for a long time.
Through the Teach For Armenia program, Roza Karapetyan was selected, trained, and placed at Araks Secondary School as a physics teacher. In just a few months, she became one of the students’ favorite teachers. For them, Roza is also a trusted friend who inspires them to learn and dream about their future.
In rural communities, an inspiring teacher can spark new interests in children, open up new professional possibilities, and strengthen their confidence in their own abilities.
Teach For Armenia recruits and trains recent university graduates and young professionals who spend two years teaching in public schools in rural communities, helping address the severe shortage of teachers. Program participants are called Teacher-Leaders. In schools with limited access to educational opportunities, they apply innovative approaches, including project-based and social-emotional learning.
Donate today to help Teach For Armenia recruit and train Teacher-Leaders and place them in the communities where they are needed most. With your support, students like Radik will have the opportunity to learn with dedicated Teacher-Leaders like Roza.
