About
9-year-old Robert is the eldest child in his family. Immediately after birth, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Until the 2020 Artsakh War, he received regular therapy, but after the war, Robert and his family were forcibly displaced from Karvachar, enduring nine months of blockade before settling in a rented apartment in Abovyan.
Robert struggles to express his needs and desires—his family communicates with him using gestures, which severely limits his ability to interact. Outside of his family, he has never spoken to anyone, which hinders his socialization, education, and daily life.
After evaluating his abilities, a speech therapist tested the Tobii communication system and confirmed that this device would enable Robert to communicate using eye-tracking technology without physical effort.
With Tobii, Robert will be able to:
✅ Accurately express his needs and wants,
✅ Develop his cognitive abilities,
✅ Gain independence in communication, learning, and play,
✅ Actively participate in school and fully benefit from educational resources.
This system will greatly improve Robert’s quality of life and help his parents and specialists better understand his thoughts and emotions. It is an essential tool that will open new opportunities for him.
Your donation today will help us raise the $7,000 needed to provide Robert with this life-changing device, allowing him to communicate, socialize, and grow.
