The man in the photo is 70-year-old Slava. After the displacement of 2023 and before moving to the “Meronts Tun” elderly care center, he had been living at a relative’s home, because his pension was not enough to cover rent and his basic needs. At present, he also has a need related to prosthetic care.

Slava devoted his whole life to building villages and cities. He worked as a construction worker.

Today, we can provide him with round-the-clock care and, when needed, medical assistance as well.

Thanks to this fundraiser, Grandpa Slava will receive three months of care. At “Meronts Tun,” he will be surrounded by people of his own age, by caring staff who work with them every day, and by the sense of family, love, and warmth that is impossible to have while living alone.
