Little Monte needs life-saving medication and genetic testing to overcome a life-threatening illness.

We have already helped him once before by providing the medication he needed to treat a dangerous fungal infection, which was especially risky because of his severe chronic health conditions.

After that treatment, Monte’s condition showed improvement. But since June, his symptoms have returned. He has been hospitalized and now once again needs the same medication.

Given the severity of Monte’s illness, doctors are planning an allogeneic bone marrow transplant once his condition is stabilized with medication. His sister may be a fully compatible donor. But before that, it is necessary to carry out carrier testing for the affected gene so that doctors can better assess and reduce the possible risks.

At this stage, the total cost of the required medication and the genetic test is 450,000 AMD.
