About
This initiative began with Grandma Astghik’s own idea. Despite her age, she chose to stand by her village, write a project proposal, and break the stereotype that age can stand in the way of doing something meaningful. Her idea was even welcomed with a standing ovation.
Today, many families in Lusakunk are struggling with the lack of jobs and stable income. At the same time, there is a strong demand in the village for fresh baked goods. The school, the kindergarten, and local residents bring them in every day from a nearby town, because no such production exists in the village itself.
Seeing all this, Grandma Astghik decided to start a small bakery in Lusakunk. This initiative could not only provide the village with fresh, quality baked goods, but also create new jobs and open up new opportunities for the whole community.
When someone at her age finds the strength to stand up for her village in this way, we truly have a responsibility to help turn that idea into reality, so that our villages can continue to live and grow.
Let us help Grandma Astghik bring her idea to life and breathe new life into the village of Lusakunk.
