About

Nine-year-old Viktoria needs surgery. She was born with strabismus, and later she was diagnosed with amblyopia, also known as “lazy eye” — a condition in which the connection between the eye and the brain is disrupted, causing the eye to gradually lose its function.

In Armenia, surgical treatment for this condition is usually performed after the age of 17. Until then, in order to preserve and improve her vision, Viktoria has been receiving specialized amblyopia treatment at the Yasny Vzor clinic in Moscow.

At the age of eight, thanks to your support, she completed two treatment courses. After the first course, vision in her right eye improved to 30%, and in her left eye to 70%. After the second course, her right eye reached 40% and her left eye 80%. Following the third course, vision in her right eye improved to 50%, while the left eye remained stable at 80%.

These treatments have a significant impact on improving Viktoria’s vision and overall quality of life. However, they must be repeated every six months, which is financially overwhelming for her family, as they must cover not only the treatment itself but also travel and accommodation expenses.

Viktoria now needs to begin her fourth course of treatment and once again relies on your support. Without continued treatment, her vision will begin to deteriorate again.

Even the smallest donation can help this little girl live a full life and enjoy her childhood.

Let’s help Viktoria see the world clearly and in color.
