About

Many of you will remember Alex. He has big goals: to enter university and become a skilled dhol player. But on the path toward his dreams, Alex continues to fight severe asthma.

Since 2014, he has been under the supervision of the Republican Pediatric Allergy Center at Arabkir Medical Center and has consistently received the necessary treatment. However, for a long time, it was not possible to bring the disease fully under control.

Although asthma is a manageable condition, severe cases can involve frequent and dangerous flare-ups. Alex used to be hospitalized several times a year, including in the intensive care unit.

In 2021, with the support of the Health Fund for Children of Armenia, he began receiving Omalizumab. Thanks to this treatment, Alex’s condition stabilized, and hospitalizations caused by severe flare-ups almost completely stopped.

Doctors attempted to discontinue the treatment, but the flare-ups returned. To prevent further complications and keep Alex’s condition stable, he needs to continue the treatment that has proven effective for him over the long term.

Alex receives the medication once a month. A one-month dose costs 140,000 AMD, and a full year of treatment requires 1,680,000 AMD.

Thanks to your support, we have already been able to provide Alex with this vital medication for many months.

Let us come together once again so that Alex can continue his treatment, avoid dangerous flare-ups, and move confidently toward his dreams.
