Dear friends, you may remember the sweet little Emily — the miracle baby for whom HFC Armenia recently launched a fundraiser for a life-saving liver transplant. At just five months old, Emily was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a rare and life-threatening condition caused by a congenital malformation of the bile ducts.

Her surgery was originally scheduled for mid-June 2025 at Arabkir Medical Center, with a team of doctors from Armenia and Minsk. Thanks to your incredible generosity, the full amount of 14,000,000 AMD was successfully raised.

However, Emily’s condition has worsened, and due to scheduling conflicts, the Minsk team is unable to arrive earlier than planned. The urgent decision was made to transfer Emily to Moscow for immediate surgery — and a team is already ready to receive her.

We are just 1,500,000 AMD short of what’s needed to proceed with the Moscow surgery. After the operation, Emily’s follow-up care will continue in Armenia at Arabkir MC under the state medical program (free of charge).

Emily is a gentle, joyful baby whose sweet smile brings light into her family’s life. She loves playing with her older sister and fills their home with laughter.
