About
Harutyun Dallakyan is 4 years old and has already overcome many challenges in his short life.
Harutyun’s family was displaced due to the war in 2020. At six months old, he was diagnosed with a severe intestinal infection. During his treatment at Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center, it was also discovered that he had hearing problems due to fluid in his ears.
To remove the fluid sacs, surgery was performed at Shengavit Medical Center. Unfortunately, after the surgery, it was revealed that his auditory nerves had been damaged. The hearing devices Harutyun wore were ineffective, and on November 21, 2022, he underwent another surgery — a cochlear implant at Erebuni Medical Center, which allowed him to hear again.
However, the processor of his device was recently damaged and has been sent to the UK for repair. Additionally, some parts of the device need to be replaced periodically, but the family does not have sufficient financial resources to purchase these parts or repair the device.
The family, with the help of the government, was able to acquire the implant, but they now lack the funds for its repair. While a warranty covers some parts, additional funds are needed for other parts and transportation costs, as indicated in the medical report.
Any support you can provide will play a crucial role in restoring Harutyun’s quality of life, and we would be deeply grateful for your kindness and support.
