About
This wonderful 9-year-old girl has a beautiful name to match her spirit — Sahakanush.
She is bright, energetic, and friendly. One day, she dreams of becoming a doctor so she can help other children.
In 2020, Sahakanush was diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenia. She received several first-line treatments, but each time her platelet count improved only temporarily before dropping again to a dangerously low level. As a result, she experienced episodes of bleeding.
Doctors then moved her to second-line treatment, and with a higher dosage they were able to stabilize her condition. Today, Sahakanush’s health and safe childhood depend on long-term treatment with Revolade.
And Sahakanush is not alone. There are many children in Armenia facing the same struggle.
For the past three years, the Health Fund for Children of Armenia has been supporting children with benign blood disorders by providing them with this vital medication.
But today, the number of children in need is growing, and ensuring a steady supply of the medicine is becoming more difficult.
At this moment, 2,188,000 AMD is needed to provide 10 children with a two-month supply of medication. Without it, or if it is taken irregularly, these children’s health and lives can be placed at serious risk.
Donate today and help provide 10 children with the life-saving medication they need.
