For the past year, thanks to your support, the Health Fund for Children of Armenia has been able to provide Armen and Aram with Evrysdi (Risdiplam), the medication that is vital for them. With continuous treatment, the boys’ condition does not worsen, and it is possible to preserve the abilities they currently have.

The brothers have been living with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) from an early age. It is a severe genetic disease that gradually weakens the muscles and can also lead to respiratory, orthopedic, and feeding-related complications. Armen and Aram cannot sit or walk independently and use wheelchairs to move around.

Evrysdi must be taken continuously. Together, Armen and Aram need 5 boxes of medication every month, with a total cost of $12,050. Although the foundation has managed to obtain the medication from the official supplier at a price almost three times lower, this cost still remains beyond the family’s means.

Despite all the difficulties, the boys continue to study, spend time with their friends, and dream about the future. Armen loves singing, while Aram enjoys mathematics and hopes to become an accountant one day.
