Armenia's education system faces several challenges, including a shortage of teachers, especially in rural communities. This and other problems lead to educational inequality and decrease students' academic performance. However, our Teacher Leadership program has been filling the educational gaps in the country by transforming the lives of students with the help of change-driven teacher-leaders. 

Since 2013, we have recruited and trained recent university graduates and professionals from Armenia and the Diaspora to teach in rural public schools for a period of two-years. Today, Teach For Armenia reaches over 30,000 students, through 134 Teacher-Leaders, in every region of Armenia.

The goal of this fundraiser is to finance the first stage of the program, which will send the 10th cohort of enthusiastic teacher-leaders to vibrant rural communities. In this stage, we will recruit mission-aligned and values-driven individuals with leadership potential who strive for long-lasting change. These teacher-leaders will teach and lead innovative projects in our partner communities.

By investing in education, we can create a more equitable and prosperous society for all. Teach For Armenia plays a vital role in this effort by recruiting and supporting the next generation of educators.
