About
The beautiful young girl in the photo is 16-year-old Armine. She is curious, creative, and passionate about many things — music, dance, science, space, and psychology. But today, Armine is facing the hardest challenge of her life: she is fighting a severe illness.
In July of this year, she was diagnosed with high-risk acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). Armine has already undergone an intensive phase of cancer treatment, which successfully brought her into temporary remission.
But her battle is not over. Because of a related gallstone condition, Armine has developed mechanical jaundice and gallstone sludge, both of which require urgent surgery.
The cost of the surgery is 370,000 AMD, a sum her family cannot afford.
Armine is supported by the City of Smile Foundation, but since the foundation covers only cancer-related expenses, this surgery falls outside their scope. That is why our collective support is essential for Armine to continue her path to recovery.
Today, we have the chance to give Armine the most precious gift — the chance to heal.
She dreams of finishing school next year and moving toward her goals with strength, health, and a full life ahead of her.
