Many of you already know the brothers Hovak and Grigor. Several months ago, with your support, we were able to purchase the life-saving medication Berinert for them.

Hovak was diagnosed with hereditary angioedema at the age of 7, and Grigor at the age of 3. The condition causes severe swelling of the hands, feet, face, gastrointestinal tract, and airways. The most dangerous is swelling of the throat, which can make breathing difficult and become life-threatening.

Each child needs around 5 doses per year. Thanks to your support, 6 doses of Berinert have already been purchased, 3 of which were used when Hovak experienced dangerous episodes of swelling. We now need to purchase 4 more doses at a total cost of 1,984,000 AMD to ensure that both children have the medication they need for the year.

In addition, the brothers need genetic testing to clarify the cause of the condition and properly plan their further treatment. The total cost of the tests is 342,000 AMD.
