About
Nine-year-old Victoria needs surgery. She was born with strabismus, and later was diagnosed with amblyopia, also known as “lazy eye,” a condition where the connection between the brain and the eye is disrupted, causing the eye to lose its function.
In Armenia, treatment for this condition is typically provided after the age of 17. Until then, to preserve and improve her vision, Victoria is receiving specialized treatment for amblyopia at the “Yasny Vzor” clinic in Moscow.
At the age of eight, with your support, Victoria completed two rounds of treatment. After the first one, the vision in her right eye reached 30% and in the left eye 70%. After the second round, her vision improved to 40% in the right eye and 80% in the left.
These treatments have a major impact on her vision and quality of life. But they must be repeated every six months, which is financially out of reach for her parents, as they also have to cover travel and accommodation costs.
Victoria is now due for her third round of treatment and once again needs your support. Without it, her vision will decline again.
Even the smallest donation can help this little girl live a full life and enjoy her childhood.
Let’s help Victoria see the world clearly and in color.
