Meet Karen. He has been part of the Mayri community for 20 years. Karen lives with severe autism, which causes challenges in communication and social interaction. Yet at Mayri, it was discovered that he has a sharp mind and can spend hours fully focused on creating or perfecting something.

Drawing, sculpting, and photography are his main ways of communicating. Through them, Karen expresses himself and shows the world who he is. Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, he had to stop attending therapy sessions at Mayri. This left him more isolated and vulnerable.
