About

Arman was only eight years old when he was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune condition, juvenile idiopathic arthritis. His first symptoms appeared at the age of five and returned two years later in a more severe form. At that time, the family was living in Artsakh under blockade, with no possibility to bring the child to Yerevan for a full medical examination.

After the diagnosis, Arman underwent several treatments that unfortunately did not bring the desired results. As a result, doctors decided to continue his treatment with the biological medication Enbrel, with support from the Armenian Children’s Health Foundation.

The treatment led to significant improvement, and over time the medication was discontinued. However, after a while the disease flared up again, causing joint swelling and pain.

At this stage, Enbrel needs to be added back to Arman’s treatment regimen. He must receive it once a week. The medication is expensive, and the family cannot cover the cost on their own. At present, four months of treatment are required, with a total cost of 720,000 AMD.

Intellectual challenges are no obstacle for Arman. He excels in mathematics competitions and chess matches. Yet there is one unfair battle in his life that he cannot win alone.

The disease has taken away his greatest passion, football, preventing him from moving freely and being on the field.

We can change this reality. Our goal is to give Arman the right to move without pain and to live a full life. Let us help Arman overcome the disease and return to a complete and active life.
