Katarina lives with her two young children in a rented shelter under very difficult social conditions. In recent months, their rent has only been covered thanks to the kindness of caring people.

She has been battling cancer for many years. Katarina has already undergone around eight major surgeries — on her leg, lungs, and thyroid. A few years ago, part of her left lung was removed, and recently doctors had to remove part of her right lung as well after another tumor was discovered. In addition, she suffers from diabetes.

Her husband also struggles with serious health problems, but he tries to work to at least partly cover the children’s daily needs.

Today Katarina urgently needs further treatment due to a breast tumor. The cost of treatment and related expenses is around 2 million AMD. Without this support, her health is in grave danger, and her children’s future is at immediate risk.
