Eric is growing up without a father’s warmth, and no one can fill that void. But we can stand by little Eric and become his supporters.

His mother named him after his late father, believing that the best qualities of her husband would live on in their newborn son.

Eric’s father was a policeman. When he heard the terrible sound of an explosion, he rushed to help people, managing to get them to the hospital, but in the process he himself suffered severe burns.

Anush, his wife, thinking that her husband was on duty, went to the hospital while pregnant, accompanied by their children, to help others. She could never have imagined the hellish reality that awaited her there. The children recognized their badly injured father only by his tattoo, but, aware of their mother’s condition, they chose not to say anything.

The next day, the family was informed that Eric’s father was in critical condition and had to be urgently transferred to Yerevan. After several days under doctors’ supervision, Anush’s husband passed away.

The immense stress brought Anush additional health problems, including diabetes. After long and difficult months, she miraculously gave birth to a baby boy, whom she named Eric, after her late husband.

Since the birth of the child, the Hayordi Foundation’s “Motherland” program has provided social support to the family, with a monthly stipend of 50,000 AMD.
