13-year-old Narek has been living with spinal muscular atrophy, SMA type 2, since early childhood. Because of the disease, he cannot move independently, and to preserve the functional abilities he still has, he needs to take Evrysdi (Risdiplam) continuously.

With your support, several months ago we were already able to provide Narek with the medication he needed and a respiratory device. Now his treatment must continue without interruption in order to slow the further progression of the disease as much as possible.

The Health Fund for Children of Armenia has managed to obtain the medication from the official supplier at a price almost three times lower. One month of Narek’s medication costs $4,820, an amount his family cannot cover on their own.

Narek lives with his father and his grandmother, who also has health problems. Despite his physical limitations, he taught himself Russian, enjoys board games, and actively keeps in touch with his friends.
