Gevorg Hakobyan was only 21 when he was killed in the 44-day war. His family had lived in Russia for many years, but Gevorg returned to Armenia to serve in his homeland. Later, the rest of the family also moved to Armenia.

Gevorg was a caring son. From his teenage years, he worked to help his parents and support his sisters. One of his greatest wishes was to create a more secure future for his family.

In October 2020, Gevorg was killed while defending his homeland, leaving his family with an irreplaceable loss.

Today, his father, Arthur, is facing a serious health problem.

Arthur has chronic kidney failure. During treatment, he began experiencing severe pain in his hip joint, and examinations revealed advanced grade III–IV coxarthrosis of the right hip.

Because of the condition, Arthur is no longer able to walk independently. He urgently needs a right hip replacement surgery, in which the damaged joint will be completely replaced with an artificial one.

The surgery itself will be covered through universal health insurance, but the family must cover part of the cost of the required ceramic prosthesis — 700,000 AMD.

Throughout his life, Gevorg did everything he could to ease his parents’ burdens. Today, he can no longer help his father, but we can.

Let us come together and urgently raise the 700,000 AMD needed so Arthur can undergo surgery as soon as possible and walk independently again.
