About

Running was never really Sargis’ thing. When his brother Vahe used to take him along on his runs, Sargis could not understand what made Vahe go out and run again and again.

Everything changed after Vahe was killed in the 2020 war. Sargis started running, at first simply to understand what his brother had loved so much, and later to continue the dreams Vahe had left unfinished.

One of Vahe’s dreams was to run the New York City Marathon. On November 1, Sargis will take part in the 42 km marathon and complete that journey for his brother as well.

But the marathon will fulfill only one of Vahe’s dreams.

Vahe was a clinical pharmacist and wanted to contribute to the development of this field in Armenia. That is why Sargis decided to find sponsors and donors for every kilometer of his run. The funds raised will help three Armenian clinical pharmacists receive training abroad and bring the knowledge they gain back to Armenia.

The first two kilometers have already been sponsored by Freedom Broker Armenia and adidas. Other companies can sponsor the remaining kilometers, while anyone can also join the initiative with an individual donation of any amount.

Sponsor one of Sargis’s kilometers or make a donation and become part of continuing Vahe’s unfinished dreams.
