About
Tigran is a student at the primary school in Atan village. For years, the school has had an ongoing vacancy for a mathematics teacher. As a result, children have had little opportunity to properly study the subject, develop curiosity toward it, or access the professional paths that mathematics can open.
Thanks to the “Teach for Armenia” teacher-leaders program, Atan found Mary — a bright and inspiring educator who helped children discover the world of numbers.
Mary’s goal is to help students use their knowledge beyond the classroom — in their daily lives, in the village, and in the community — applying mathematical thinking to solve real local challenges.
For Mary, teaching in Atan has become a way to contribute to Armenia’s development and to show her patriotism through action.
By donating today, you can also make a meaningful contribution and help reduce educational inequality in Armenia.
With your support, teacher shortages will be filled in many more villages and communities.
