About
David and Anushik are brother and sister. Both are living with type 1 diabetes and are regular participants in the Katil Summer Camp.
Each year, the number of children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes continues to grow. Because of educational gaps, difficult social conditions, and social stigma, these children often become isolated and struggle to integrate into society.
To address this, the Katil Charitable Foundation launched a summer camp program, now in its 15th year — and this year, it can happen again with your support.
The camp is designed for 35 children from socially vulnerable families — children like David and Anushik.
It teaches them how to live in harmony with their diagnosis, manage diabetes at home, and become more independent, emotionally resilient, self-sufficient, and engaged members of their community.
Despite his diagnosis, David leads an active lifestyle, plays sports, and achieves amazing results. He dreams of becoming a professional boxer.
But dreams like David’s — and those of the other children — can only come true with your support. Growing up with diabetes and living in hardship, they don’t have access to the knowledge and tools they need to manage their condition and protect their health.
By donating today, you’ll help equip these children with life-changing skills and knowledge, support their healthy childhoods, and give them the chance to pursue their dreams.
