Anahit Karamyan lives with her family in the border village of Khnatsakh, in the Syunik region. Both she and her husband are participants of the 44-day war. Her husband, a serviceman, was seriously injured during the war — suffering fractures in three parts of his leg.

Despite receiving some treatment through the state medical program, this particular surgery was extremely complex and costly, leaving the full financial burden on the family.

They managed to obtain the necessary medical equipment, but are now facing serious financial hardship as they struggle to pay off the remaining medical debt.
The family has two young children, and Anahit cannot work at the moment as their youngest still requires full-time care.
