About

This smiling girl is 13-year-old Mila. She loves to dream, listen to music, and spend time in nature. But behind that beautiful smile is a daily struggle with an illness that requires regular treatment and constant monitoring.

In 2023, Mila was diagnosed with acute immune thrombocytopenia. With this condition, platelet levels in the blood can fall to dangerously low levels because the immune system mistakenly begins destroying the body’s own platelets.

After her diagnosis, Mila went through different types of treatment, but after some time her platelet count dropped again. That is why the decision was made to begin treatment with the costly medication Revolade, which helped achieve a stable result. Mila now needs to continue taking this medication over the long term in order to preserve the positive progress that has been achieved.

Mila is one of many children whose health now depends on Revolade. For the past three years, Children’s Health Foundation of Armenia has been supporting children with benign blood disorders by providing them with this essential medication.

But the number of children in need is growing, and this is making it increasingly difficult to ensure regular access to the medicine. One box of Revolade 25 mg costs 109,000 AMD. At this moment, 3,161,000 AMD is needed to provide five children with a three-month supply of the medication.

Without this medicine, or if it is taken irregularly, the children’s lives and health may be placed at serious risk.

With your donation, you will help not only Mila, but also her friends continue their life-sustaining treatment, protect their health, and keep moving toward their dreams.
