Rafael was only 4 years old when his father was killed in the war.

During the 44-day war, his father, Sargis, voluntarily joined the front lines to defend his homeland. He never returned.

Thanks to generous support, Rafael and his two sisters have been able to attend the Hayordi Summer Camp for the past three years — and this summer will be their third.

For them, the camp has become a place where they can rediscover the joy of childhood, connect with other children who’ve experienced similar loss, and find comfort in each other’s presence.

At Hayordi, psychologists and child specialists work closely with the kids. Every activity — from games and competitions to group workshops — is designed to help ease the emotional burden they carry.
