Meet 9-year-old Nane — a bright, talented, and cheerful girl who has been bravely fighting hereditary hemolytic anemia (thalassemia) for several years.

Nane’s illness is chronic and requires ongoing treatment and medical supervision. She is under the care of the specialists at the Yolyan Hematology and Oncology Center and undergoes blood transfusions once or twice a month.

To reduce iron overload in her body and maintain her health, Nane takes the medication Jadenu, which is vital for her life. However, the medicine is very expensive, and her family — displaced from Artsakh — can no longer afford it.

To provide Nane with a five-month supply of Jadenu, 1,032,500 AMD is needed.

Despite all the challenges, Nane continues to fill the world around her with joy and light. She attends painting, singing, and dance classes, takes part in children’s theater performances, and loves math and Armenian at school. She is also a caring big sister to her newborn brother.
