About
The little boy in the photo is Hayk, who will soon turn two. He is the fourth child in the family and has three older sisters whom he loves playing with. Hayk is especially fascinated by his father’s construction tools — he enjoys playing with them and carefully watching his father work.
At the end of September 2026, Hayk’s parents noticed numerous bruises on his body. He was taken by ambulance to the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, where examinations revealed severe thrombocytopenia. Hayk also developed nosebleeds and bleeding around the eye.
He received the necessary initial treatment, but to stabilize his condition, doctors prescribed Octagam. The total cost of the required dose is 360,000 AMD.
Further examinations also showed decreased hemoglobin levels and pronounced neutropenia. A repeat bone marrow aspiration revealed decreased cellularity and relative lymphocytosis.
To better understand the cause of these changes and determine the appropriate treatment strategy, Hayk needs to undergo Whole Exome Sequencing (WES). The test may help identify or rule out genetic causes associated with inherited bone marrow failure syndromes and congenital immune system disorders. The cost of the WES test is 390,000 AMD.
At present, the family cannot cover the cost of the medication and genetic testing on their own.
Hayk’s illness has become a major challenge for the entire family. Our support can help doctors determine the cause of his condition as quickly as possible, choose the appropriate treatment, and give little Hayk the chance to return to a healthy childhood.
Let us help Hayk receive the treatment he needs and undergo this important genetic test.
