For many years, Gerasim worked as a сапёр, and after the 44-day war his work became even more difficult, yet he continued to serve his homeland with deep devotion.

Together with Gayane, Gerasim was raising their three young daughters.
Then came the 2023 war, in which all the men of the family took part.

After the war came the explosion at the fuel depot in Stepanakert. Gerasim was killed there, along with his sister’s son, while Vahan — Gayane’s brother — went missing.

After this irreversible loss, Gayane continues to move forward with strength. She is raising her three daughters on her own, caring for her husband’s disabled parents, and at the same time serving in the military herself.

Gathering all her strength, Gayane was able to buy an apartment through the Government of Armenia’s housing support program.
But her salary is only enough to cover the family’s daily needs. She still cannot afford to buy furniture for the home, and because of that, the family is not yet able to move in.
