About

We only have five months of treatment left to fund in order to provide these two wonderful brothers with a full year of the medication they urgently need.

Many of you already know them. Armen and Aram are bright, intelligent, and incredibly strong children. From an early age, they have been living with spinal muscular atrophy, a severe genetic condition that gradually weakens the muscles and limits movement. Armen and Aram are unable to sit or walk on their own and use wheelchairs to get around.

This disease threatens not only their mobility, but their lives as well. It can lead to respiratory and orthopedic complications, as well as difficulties with swallowing and nutrition. Sadly, their condition is visibly worsening.

The gene therapy medication Evrysdi (Risdiplam), available in other countries, can significantly slow down — and in some cases even stop — the progression of the disease if the boys receive it continuously. But this life-saving treatment is extremely expensive and unavailable in Armenia.

Armen, the older brother, loves singing and takes vocal lessons. He dreams of one day playing football. Aram, the younger brother, loves mathematics and playing the dhol. At school, everyone loves these kind and radiant brothers and tries to support them in every way they can.

Their family is doing everything possible to provide the treatment available in Armenia, but they cannot carry this burden alone.

Let us help these wonderful boys live with less pain and with the chance of a fuller life by providing them with this vital medication.

We have already secured seven months of treatment for them, but this illness requires continuous care.
