About

Marianna is a bright, strong, and determined girl who has been living with achondroplasia for many years. This is a rare genetic condition in which the bones develop disproportionately, and as a child grows, it can lead to a range of orthopedic and other health complications.

Over the years, Marianna has gone through several difficult stages of limb-lengthening treatment. First, her lower legs were lengthened by 8 cm, then her upper arms by another 8 cm, and during the third stage, her thighs were lengthened by 9 cm. This long journey has demanded extraordinary endurance, patience, and strength, and Marianna has faced every stage of it with remarkable courage.

Sadly, after the removal of the аппараты from her thighs, a serious complication occurred. Because the bone in her right thigh remained very thin, it fractured and shifted to the side. As a result, Marianna’s legs are now uneven. At the moment, the difference is around 2.5 cm, and she now needs another surgery to correct the bone in her right thigh and restore the balance in her legs.

Marianna will soon turn 12, but within her small body lives an incredibly strong will. Throughout her life, she has quietly, patiently, and bravely endured many trials, never losing faith and never giving up on her dream of a full life.

Despite the pain and the hardships she has gone through, Marianna loves dancing, singing, and drawing. She dreams of becoming a nurse one day. Her mother truly believes that Marianna can achieve that dream if she receives the support she needs today to continue her treatment.

Become Marianna’s supporter and help her get through this important surgery.
