This is little Tigran. He is not even one year old yet, but from his very first days of life, he has already faced serious health challenges.

Tigran was born with a congenital heart defect and had to undergo surgery at a very early age. Thankfully, after the operation, it seemed that everything was going well. But at 6 months old, he was hospitalized again in serious condition. Doctors diagnosed him with acute gangrenous perforated appendicitis, as well as multiple abscesses in the abdominal cavity. Tigran underwent surgery, but a month later new complications appeared, and tests revealed another abdominal abscess.

Because his infections have been unusually severe and atypical, Tigran was referred for consultation with an allergist-immunologist. As a result, doctors decided that he needs genetic testing to determine whether he may have a primary immunodeficiency, which could be the underlying cause of such severe infections.

The results of this test are essential for making the right diagnosis, choosing the right treatment, and protecting Tigran’s future health.
