About

Monte is one year old. He was born with a congenital closure of both ear canals — a condition known as bilateral external auditory canal atresia. His eardrums are absent on both sides, with only a rudimentary malleus head remaining.

But there is hope. Monte can hear with the help of a BAHA-7 bone conduction hearing device, which transmits sound vibrations through the skull bones directly to the inner ear. Unfortunately, this device is very expensive and unaffordable for Monte’s large family. He is the youngest of four children, and his father is the family’s only breadwinner.

Monte loves playing with balloons, balls, and toy cars, and watching his favorite cartoons — especially Penguinasheyn and Pui-Pui Mouse. He enjoys walks in the park and laughing with his siblings.

Just imagine how his world will change when he hears the voices of his favorite cartoon characters — and most importantly, his mother’s voice — for the very first time.

By donating today, you will open a new world for little Monte — a world filled with sound, laughter, and love.
