Mikael’s Mom Shares Their Journey Toward Healing

Arevik, Mikael’s optimistic and loving mother, shared her son’s progress:

“We first noticed his breathing issues when he was 6 years old, but after being displaced from Artsakh and forced to live in a rented apartment, we couldn’t afford treatment — his condition kept getting worse. I’m so grateful to all the donors who made it possible to get the device so quickly.

Mikael has now been wearing it for a month, and we can already see the results. He’ll need to keep using it for two more years with monthly checkups before we begin treatment with braces. I’m endlessly thankful to everyone. It’s comforting to know that such kind people still exist in this world.”

Mikael’s path to recovery will continue for another two years before transitioning to the next stage. But the positive change is already visible. This story of progress wouldn’t be possible without the compassion and generosity of donors who believed Mikael deserves the chance for a healthier future.
