Monte’s treatment journey hasn't ended yet

We are sure many of you remember little Monte, whom your support once already helped provide with the medication he needed to treat a dangerous fungal infection. After that course of treatment, there was noticeable improvement in his condition, which gave his family great hope.

But Monte’s path to recovery is not over yet. Since June, his symptoms have returned, and he has been hospitalized again. He now once more needs treatment with the same medication.

This fight is especially difficult for Monte because he is also living with serious chronic conditions — primary immunodeficiency and chronic granulomatous disease. According to the doctors’ plan, once his condition is stabilized with medication, Monte is expected to undergo an allogeneic bone marrow transplant. His sister may become the donor, but before that, carrier testing for the affected gene must also be carried out in order to reduce possible risks.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has already stood by Monte once before. He still needs our support as this journey continues.
